Privacy Policy
Last updated August 5, 2026. This policy covers sleek-pdf.com, operated by Downbeat Interactive. The short version: your documents never leave your device, and you can check that yourself. The website around them uses analytics and advertising, which is described in full below.
Your documents
Drop a PDF onto any tool here and it is opened by code already running on your own computer or phone. There is no upload step. There is no processing server. No copy of your document exists anywhere except on your own disk, and no part of its contents (text, images, metadata, file name, or size) is ever transmitted to us or to anyone else.
This is a property of how the site is built rather than a promise you have to trust, and you can check it yourself at any time.
Verify it yourself in two minutes
- Open any Sleek PDF tool, then open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Ctrl+Shift+I / Cmd+Option+I).
- Switch to the Network tab.
- Drop a PDF into the tool and run it. Watch the request list. You'll see the page's own scripts load, and no request carrying your file.
- For the full proof, wait until the page has loaded, then disconnect from the internet entirely and run the tool again. It still works.
The same check works on any online PDF tool, and it is the most direct way to test any site's privacy claim. There is a longer walkthrough in the guides, including what an upload actually looks like when you catch one.
What the site stores on your device
A few tools keep small amounts of data in your browser's own storage, on your device, where it stays. None of it reaches us:
- Your theme choice (light, dark, or follow the system), so the site doesn't flash the wrong one on your next visit.
- Saved workflow recipes, if you create one in the workflow tool. Passwords are stripped before a recipe is saved or shared.
- Editor work in progress, but only if you switch on "keep my work if this tab closes". It is off by default, and switching it off deletes what was stored.
Clearing your browser's site data for sleek-pdf.com removes all of it.
Analytics
We count page views so we know which tools people actually want. That
runs on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not
fingerprint or track individuals across sites. In your request list it
appears as one small call to cloudflareinsights.com carrying
no cookies and nothing about your files. We see aggregate numbers, like how
many people opened the compress tool this week, and nothing that
identifies you.
Advertising
The site is free and is funded by advertising in fixed slots outside the tools. Ads are served by Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-6981309835900321). Unlike our analytics, advertising does involve third-party cookies and similar technologies, and it is only fair to say so plainly:
- Google and its partners may set cookies in your browser, and may use them to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Ad requests carry the usual information a web request does, including your IP address, browser, and the page being viewed. They do not carry anything about the documents you process: the ad code has no access to them, and the files never leave your device in the first place.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and use their own cookies.
Opting out
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a range of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or the NAI opt-out page.
- More on how Google handles data from sites that use its services is in Google's partner sites policy.
- A content blocker also works. The tools function identically with ads blocked; nothing here is gated on seeing them.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you are asked for your choice before personalised advertising cookies are set, through Google's consent message, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time.
What we never do
- Receive, store, or transmit your documents, in whole or in part.
- Create accounts or ask for an email address to use a tool.
- Sell or share personal information with data brokers.
- Use your documents to train anything. We do not have them, so we could not.
Children
The site is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them, and since using the tools requires no account and no submitted data, there is in practice nothing collected from any visitor to begin with.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data an operator holds about you. We hold none: no accounts, no documents, no contact records beyond any email you choose to send us. For the advertising cookies described above, the opt-out links are the effective control, and Google is the controller of that data. Anything you would like clarified, or any request you would like to make, goes to hello@sleek-pdf.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Any change that weakened the guarantee about your documents would be visible in the network tab within seconds; that check is available to you on every visit.
